* We are a NCGreenPower monthly contributor (100% carbon offset). NCGreenPower is an independent, nonprofit program that uses voluntary contributions to encourage the development of electricity generated from renewable energy sources to add more green power to the state’s power supply. Learn more about GroWild's corporate partnership with NCGreenPower here.
* We donate 5% of all profits to the Arbor Day Foundation to help plant trees. Learn more about GroWild's corporate partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation here.
* GroWild ships all orders through the United States Postal Service. The USPS is the first mailing or shipping company to achieve Cradle to Cradle certification for their packaging. The Postal Service also has the largest civilian alternate fuel vehicle fleet in the nation. Learn more about the USPS here.
* All of our gift packaging is made from 100% recycled materials, and are either recyclable or biodegradable. Learn more here.
* When possible, we purchase organically grown ingredients over conventionally grown. By doing this, we are helping to promote organic farming, which reduces the amount of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers in our air and water.
* We purchase as many ingredients as possible from local suppliers (who also take action to help preserve our environment) to minimize the amount of fossil fuels used for transportation and shipping.
* All product labels on our packages are made from 100% post consumer waste, processed chlorine free, and printed with soy based inks from a local printer that promotes green printing practices.
* GroWild recycles all plastic, aluminum, glass, tin, and cardboard. We make an effort to always think before we throw anything away. Did you know that just one aluminum can can save enough energy to power a television for three hours?
* All of the chocolate and vanilla extract we use is certified organic and fair trade certified. Fair trade companies pay their suppliers a fair wage for the products and services, and do not employ the use of child labor. While this may not be a common "green" practice, we believe it is just as important.
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
We are 100% committed to minimizing our company carbon footprint. We believe it is our social responsibility to take care of this planet. If we take care of Mother Earth, she will take care of us.
